Remote functionality for BODAS-service

Without a remote telematics solution, reading out data and configuring machines equipped with Bosch Rexroth BODAS hardware requires a direct CAN-to-PC cable connection.

This inflexible process results in high travel and service costs for OEMs and the loss of the customer’s time. For customers, every hour of lost use, when a job schedule is disrupted because of machine breakdown, means lost revenue.

Proemion’s remote, realtime telematics solution is compatible with BODAS hardware and BODAS software and eliminates the need for onsite cable connections, and reduces service expenses and loss of use.

BODAS-service Integration

The CANlink® mobile Var. BODAS telematics unit connects remotely with the BODAS compliant ECU of your machine, enabling bidirectional data transfer with the BODAS-service software.

The application enables remote configuration of parameters and performance settings, machine fine-tuning, firmware updates and troubleshooting. Because Proemion telematics firmware is tuned to the service application, no coding skills are needed for set up. 

The CANlink® mobile 3000 Var. BODAS

Our CANlink® mobile 3000 Var. BODAS is available in multiple product variants that offer different features, such as external/internal antennas, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and internal battery.

The CAN-based telematics device connects a machine with the BODAS Service Tool via a cellular network. It uses Proemion's DataPlatform for message routing.

The device comes with a BODAS matched firmware, so a plug-and-perform deployment is possible, saving valuable time and money.

About BODAS-service

The free software BODAS-service allows accessing the Bosch Rexroth controller. By selecting the Proemion interface within the application, a remote connection to the controller can be established.

The application can be used remotely in the same way as it is used via cable connection onsite.

With the broad range of existing functionalities, and by adhering to safety aspects, many tasks can be achieved, and data can be downloaded directly onto the Bosch Rexroth controller:

  • Adjust machine parameters;
  • Perform machine diagnostics;
  • View error messages for deeper insights;
  • Initiate firmware updates (over-the-air-update).
