Proemion is now Connectivity Partner of Danfoss
Danfoss and Proemion strengthen their partnership and now act as joint partners.
FULDA, October 14, 2019 – "In the future, we will focus even more on the respective core competencies of the two companies and thus create new synergies, which of course, also benefit our customers," says Henrik Jørgensen, President of the Controls Division at Danfoss.
With this new agreement, Proemion will directly supply Danfoss's end customers worldwide with its products. The CANlink® mobile, Proemion's telematics control unit, is equipped with Danfoss's diagnostic communication protocol, enabling connected machines to communicate with the Danfoss PLUS+1 Service Tool. Furthermore, Proemion provides its cloud-based infrastructure. Using Proemion's APIs and Web portal, end customers can configure and visualize Danfoss service offerings, such as diagnostics and troubleshooting, to fit their needs.
Both companies are convinced that they can offer their customers innovative and forward-looking telematics solutions with their combined strengths. Danfoss offers diagnostic solutions specifically tailored to its controllers, while Proemion's hardware and software provide a fast and direct connection to the machines wherever they are located.
The new partnership between the two companies will continue to benefit end customers in the long term. Proemion can already incorporate the requirements of the Danfoss controllers into the development of new gateways. By including the Proemion hardware in its toolchain, Danfoss ensures that the telematics units communicate with the end customers' machines. Through the enhanced transfer of knowledge, both companies can also take a proactive approach to future-oriented issues such as predictive analytics and connected controllers.
"An absolute win-win situation," explains Robert Michaelides, CEO of Proemion, "Connectivity between machines on the one hand and people and machines on the other side only works if the companies behind them work in harmony and combine their core competencies profitably." The first positive reactions from well-known OEMs such as Øveraasen or Effer are already there. They show that the right direction is chosen.
